The house is located in the rural area of San Sebastian between St. Willibrordus and Fontein, the plot of 4020 m2 is located in an elevated position. From the house, you can see no less than 5 bays on the south coast, besides; you have a view of a large part of the grounds of Siberia and St. Willibrordus. In clear weather, you can even see the mountains of Venezuela in the distance.
The house is located on Kaya Sta. Brigitta in a dead end. The terrain is closed with an electric gate. The land is completely fenced and there is privacy, tranquility, and space.
The main house
The house was built in 1994 and has a total area of 145 m2, excluding the terrace.
On the outside terrace/porch (approx. 70m2) there is a lot of space for two spacious sitting areas as well as a large dining table, ideal for tropical outdoor living. The house is tastefully decorated and has a living room with a semi-open kitchen. There is a breakfast bar that connects the kitchen with the living room. The kitchen is equipped with a built-in oven and a microwave (AEG), a built-in 5-burner hob (gas) and double door (Whirlpool) refrigerator.
There are three bedrooms; one of them is currently used as an office. The master bedroom has a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink with casing, toilet, and bidet. A sliding door gives access to a spacious walk-in closet. The other two smaller bedrooms have each a suite bathroom, both with shower, sink, and toilet. The whole house has hot and cold running water. The bedrooms are connected by a corridor, which can be closed off with a fence on both sides. Thus it is possible to sleep with windows and doors open and let the wind cool down during the night. However, the bedrooms also have air conditioning.
There is also an indoor laundry room/storage room with closets at the entrance of the house.
The electricity has been completely renewed in 2017, including the fuse box (220 Volt). But there are also 110 Volt plug boxes in 2 places.
There are two apartments attached to the house. At the entrance to the lot there is a detached 1-bedroom apartment (Pollux), down on the lot there is the second detached two-bedroom apartment (Zenit).
A beautiful spacious studio (Pollux) has been created at the front of the terrain. The studio has a king-size bed, a comfortable living room with a complete kitchen made of reclaimed wood, and a private bathroom. The terrace is shaded by a Palapa: a canopy of dried palm leaves. Electra has been completely renewed in 2017; there is a private electricity meter for this apartment and a separate Wi-Fi connection.
The lower-lying detached house (Zenit) was renovated in 2017 and is just as stylishly furnished and designed as Pollux. The bathroom has a double sink and outdoor shower. This house has two bedrooms, a spacious royal living room with a lounge sofa, and an open kitchen. The three French doors (hardwood with shutters) to the private covered terrace provide a nice cool breeze in the house. The spacious bathroom is an experience itself because here you can shower outside but in privacy with a view of the salt pans. Both bedrooms have air conditioning. Zenit has its own entrance to the sun terrace and the pool. Electricity was completely renewed in 2017, with its own meter and Wi-Fi connection.
The swimming pool has generous dimensions (6m x 11m) and is currently used both privately and for any guests of the apartments. Next to the pool is a spacious Palapa, for those who want to retreat to the shade.
The large plot of 4020m2 is largely (around the house and the apartments) laid out with stone paving and various plants, palms, and flower bushes, but also offers space for the original vegetation. Even for the hobbyist, there are still plenty of opportunities to create a greenhouse or herb garden or fruit trees. The whole is very well cared for and it has also been taken into account that the natural environment could be preserved. Part of the original vegetation (Mondi) could also be used for the construction of an extra house.
There is a deep well on the property. There is also a collection for rainwater (located under the terrace at the house) and this provides a large part of the water supply for the plants employing a drip system connected to it.
The house is located on a dead end. There is enough space to park several cars on site.
3 new meter boxes have been installed.
Ample storage space is available between the pool and the low-lying apartment. This has a concrete screed on top so that an extra terrace/Palapa could also be created.
It is possible to take over the apartments fully furnished at an additional cost, as well as the website on which the apartments are offered for holiday rental. The outdoor furniture at the main house is also negotiable for acquisition.
And last but not least
This is the ideal home for relaxed living, where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the west coast of the island and where your possible guests have their own space with you on the property. A vacation rental is of course also possible.
